Germany was already broke by the time WW1 ended. Hell most of the allies were in debt after that too, it wasn't just the central powers.
I'd say something about their offensive in 1918 failing because they couldn't afford to produce any more munitions, but you'd probably claim the reason they lost was German noblewomen emptying out the treasury.
On top of being blamed for a war they didn't even start and running out of money funding said war, I'd guess having to pay exorbitant reparations would make the population of any country resentful and bitter.
Honestly, I think that just shows how much the Weimar Republic screwed up. They couldn't pay off those reparations, their efforts to pay off said reparations made their populace even more resentful, and all that did was facilitate Hitler's rise to power.
Germany was doing fine until the Wall Street Crash killed them. Nothing the Weimar Republic could have done would have prevented the mark from collapsing, unless the allies agreed to defer payment until the global crisis was over.
Nazism threw away the old economy and was still cap in hand begging to Chase Manhattan by 1937, and was already trying to buy resources on credit according to Shell Oil documents from 1936.
The Weimar Republic lasted 15 years and survived a financial crisis by the skin of their teeth, but Nazism couldn't survive 3 years of smooth sailing because their natalist spending was more out of control than Hungary's (who are also looking down the barrel of bankruptcy after a Hail Mary of importing Chinese EV battery factories failed.)
