If they wanted speculation to drop, they'd do nothing and people would get bored. They know that their shekel club is visible and they know that Kirk's widow going on national (Rightoid) TV will stir the pot.

It seems to me they are trying to split the Right and, moreover, make them hostile to each other. Not unlike they've done to the Left with Antifa vs neoliberals.
