He literally tried to start a state religion that usurped Christianity but nobody was interested.
Now you are starting to see why Christianity is great. Provides far more of a bulwark against comminism and nazzism than atheism ever has and could.
Except for the fact that you know...we can see in the modern era that's solely because Christianity wished it had that kind of control over society.
