a) "Having nothing" implies the fantasy tempting ones devotion to deny reality aka each thing being processed within everything aka all running through each one aka cold (inception towards death) running through hot (life)...

b) Charles/carl (bondsman; common man, man of low birth) + Darwin/deorwine (dear friend)...with friends like these who needs enemies?
