USA has a high number because included in those numbers are the children separated by one parent from the other parent without consent or court order.
That doesn't count as missing.
U certain of that? Seems likely if 1 parent kidnaps and flees, the kids isn't returned or identified, that they might be considered missing... just being open here, not argumentative
That's why they have Amber Alerts. Usually they're found.
