Augustine of Hippo: "Judaism, since Christ, is a corruption; indeed, Judas is the image of the Jewish people: their understanding of Scripture is carnal; they bear the guilt for the death of the Savior, for through their fathers they have killed Christ. The Jews held Him; the Jews insulted Him; the Jews bound Him; they crowned Him with thorns; they scourged Him; they hanged Him upon a tree."

I want to tell you a big secret. Listen carefully.

John 19:10-11: "So Pilate said to Him, 'You do not speak to me? Do You not know that I have authority to release You, and I have authority to crucify You?' Jesus answered, 'You would have no authority over Me, unless it had been given you from above; for this reason he (Judas) who delivered Me to you has the greater sin.'"

John 18:35: "Pilate answered Jesus, 'Your own nation (the Jewish people) and the chief priests delivered You to me; what did You do?'"

Matthew 26:24: "The Son of Man is going, just as it is written of Him; but woe to that man (Judas) by whom the Son of Man is delivered up! It would have been good for that man if he had not been born."

Matthew 27:22-25: "Pilate said to them, 'Then, what shall I do with Jesus who is called Christ?' They all (the Jews) said, 'Let Him be crucified!' And he said, 'Why, what evil did He do?' But they were crying out all the more, saying, 'Let Him be crucified!' Now when Pilate saw that he was accomplishing nothing, but rather that a riot was starting, he took water and washed his hands in front of the crowd, saying, 'I am innocent of this man’s blood; see to that yourselves.' And all the (Jewish) people answered and said, 'His blood be on us and on our children!'

His name, Judas ( Ioudas), is the Greek form of Judah, the southern territory of Palestine (renamed Judea by the Romans). The inhabitants of Judah were the Judahites (later abbreviated as “Jews”), and thus Judas’ name is equated with the Jews. (Source)

Matthew 8:10-12: "Jesus said: 'Truly I say to you, I have not found such great faith with anyone in Israel. And I say to you that many (the Christians) will come from east and west, and recline at the table with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven; but the sons of the kingdom (the Jews) will be cast out into the outer darkness; in that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.'"

Matthew 21:43: "Jesus said: 'Therefore the kingdom of God will be taken away from you (the Jews) and given to a nation (the Christians), producing the fruit of it.'"

Origen: "And we say with confidence that they (the Jews) will never be restored to their former condition. For they committed a crime of the most unhallowed kind, in conspiring against the Savior of the human race in that city where they offered up to God a worship containing the symbols of mighty mysteries. It accordingly behooved that city where Jesus underwent these sufferings to perish utterly, and the Jewish nation to be overthrown, and the invitation to happiness offered them by God to pass to others, — the Christians."
