I'm pretty confident from his language (like describing Moses as honorable, which is obligatory) that u/towards8 is taking a Muslim persona, and that he believes legal public execution of gays is a good thing. He's probably pretty disappointed at the remaking of Iran and the rise of the new Pahlavi.
