For the sake of order and understanding all previous posts regarding moderation will be listed below. It would be nice to have all ongoing discussion in this one central post that I'm speaking in right now. I will chime everyone that has expressed actual interest in actual discussion.
The goal is to have community consensus to the best ability regarding a new mod to be active, I have reached out in modmail and PM'd Clem so they are aware if they are in fact currently around.
I'm requesting to be mod and am open to questions in that regard. For those that don't know me, I've been here since this community was created via an invite from the original mod, Axolotl Peyotl and have been active the last 5 years. I would hope my reputation has shown it's own proof that I care for this community and members, if not, I am willing to provide assurances to any concerns.

The community has previously voted to see if some topics shouldn't be allowed and lost the popular vote, I don't have plans to make certain subjects off limits, though it's been expressed to monitor forum sliding and shilling, which I agree with.

Admin just said hes going to keep hiding this place from Trending, and hasnt done anything about the pictures of dragon cum and videos of non-whites blowing each others brains out, which currently appear on Trending with no issues

Actually the dictionary definition is 10% loss, decimation was the practice to kill a soldier out of ten as punishment for insubordination. Funny it's meaning was completely inverted

Things have slowed down but I have hope for rejuvenation and I also agree that it's uncool that that post got to the main page while our discussions aren't available for view.
Just to say it here and copy it elsewhere, it occurs to me that if we removed the political tag and then flagged the very few political posts with a different exclusion like NSFW then we'd get the best of all: appearance in Trending, plus minimal admin involvement, plus minimal specification on what "political" is (until people argue). Strange workaround but people might like those benefits.

Thank you for thinking this out, I've been wondering myself how to go about it. At first think through it seems that might work, and mod duties would have to stay on top of flairs and I'm sure a modicum of appropriate speech would be expected/moderated.
The site in general has been dying since January 6th and the failed attempt to stop the steal. Of course, it doesn't help that the admins tried to take a group of people who were purged from reddit for being too far to the right and tried to mold them into an apolitical, neutral community.

Decimated means it lost 1/10th. If you're saying it's lost 90%? That's quite a bit more than the word decimated intends to convey.
