The greatness of America cannot be denied

I'm curious, how do you define greatness? Surly you can't be talking militarily, we'll have to go back to WW2 to find the last war USA was on the winning side. Not long ago United States ended up losing its longest war, the one in Afghanistan, just as it ended up losing its then-longest war in Vietnam.
