Modern smartphones are far too thin to contain a gun barrel. Maybe if the guy was carrying something chunky like a 1st gen iPhone. But even then, where's the recoil? Lightweight pistols are very snappy. And why don't videos from the front show a would on the other side of his neck? Also, short barreled guns are extremely loud. If that guy was the shooter, it would have been deafeningly obvious to everyone nearby and people in the video would have been turning to look where the nearby bang came from.

  • The video shows a cellphone gun at 2 minutes.

  • The video shows recoil shortly after the 7 minute mark.

  • The weapon features a silencer, the crowd is very loud.

  • We audibly hear the discharge.

  • It's known to take 2 rounds to figure out where a shot has been fired from.

  • "This user has no posts."

  • What are you even doing here?

I'm assuming you never fired a lightweight, compact pistol. The recoil from an actual gunshot would make a phone fly out of your hands. The dude is clearly startled.

Silencers do not work the way hollywood shows. The sound is reduced below the threshold to cause instant hearing damage, but is still very loud. Also, silencers are extremely bulky.

And the fuck do you mean, no posts? I've been here since day one, back when this site was just a lifeboat and the various communities were still on reddit. https://communities.win/u/BeefyBelisarius/

I'm assuming you didn't watch the video, and that you have no actual opinions of your own.

Silencers do not work the way hollywood shows.

No, shit, which is why I brought up follow up points that you are actively ignoring.

And the fuck do you mean, no posts?

What do you think I meant? I assumed that your post history in this sub reflected your overall post history. Which would have matched the profile of shills and bots that are not allowed to submit posts.

It seems im the only one in this thread with any actual firearms experience, which is what my opinion is based on.

Subsonic rounds exist and they would absolutely be unheard in that situation.

There wouldn't be the crack from the bullet breaking the sound barrier, but there would still be a loud bang from the powder going off.

Who says it is a traditional firearm?

If this is what the public can use https://www.youtube.com/shorts/WO3FtY9Sh3w then we can only imagine the stealthier guns they actually have.

I think they also coordinated a decoy shot to draw attention away. Then again it is possible this is another decoy.

Dude, go grab a bullet, hold it next to your phone, and compare the thickness. Any bullet capable of that damage is simply too thick and even silenced guns are very loud. It's hard to believe a full powered rifle didn't make a bigger hole, but claiming there was a phone gun off to the side is ridiculous.

Still what he does with his hands makes no sense. Unless this is a deliberate rabbit hole they created to use as a strawman.

Even without a silencer, subsonic rounds are hard to hear in a crowd.

People sitting right by the guy still would have reacted. And there's still the fact that the guy isn't holding anything large enough to fire the shot.
