Have you ever had a junkie for a daughter but loved her so much you would show her love, mercy and care for her, yet let her go to jail instead of bailing her out and letting her sit there for an extended amount of time?

I see it. I also see that it's wise to stay away when God is punishing Israel. When you enable someone else's kid who is into addiction and depravity, your not doing them any favors, nor their parent. My opinion is to not help them, but don't hurt them either. Sometimes it's best to just walk past them while they are living on the streets in a tent and stay away from them when they are holding down a job, staying sober and taking care of business because they will only drag you into their depravity and bleed you dry as they return to foolish living.
