It's the unwashed masses aka the peasant folk which ridicules itself with profane language.
Yeah, they don't do it like the used to in the 12c though. Now they use pop culture and movies to disclose their agenda and initiate the peasants. Mostly because nobody reads and modern entertainment captures the senses better.
Agenda (nature) initiates (being)...captured entertainment tempts one to ignore that, because capturing implies holding onto something, while ignoring that everything moves.
That's why poesy is called the art of imitation.
