Corporations one after another are claiming they're laying people off because AI has made them so much more efficient. But all the layoffs were predicted by those who saw the end of the last credit cycle coming. What an interesting coincidence.
AI hype may have kept the stock market bubble going a bit longer, but it could not avoid recession in the real economy. Interest rates increased significantly since post-scamdemic and these are the inevitable (and necessary) results.
Instead of telling the truth, they are making the downturn worse by cranking up the economic pessimism to 11 in an apparent bid to save face / increase shareholder value. Or is it part of the larger agenda to push government control via UBI?
Either way, despite AI being a useful tool, it will be like the internet. It ends up creating more jobs by opening up new possibilities and increases demand for better quality services (hedonic adaptation).
So it's a recession, and we've seen many before. It could even be a depression with how distorted the market became with decades of low interest rates.
Well, it is also written:
"What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the housetops." - Matthew 10:27
I don't know why you think that. Even the first trumpet hasn't sounded yet:
"The first angel sounded his trumpet, and there came hail and fire mixed with blood, and it was hurled down on the earth. A third of the earth was burned up, a third of the trees were burned up, and all the green grass was burned up." - Revelation 8:7
If you are indeed a person of the Lord, you should always wake people up. Do you remember the wisdom about the wicked servant, who had one coin and didn't make anything more out of it? If we don't wake people up with our knowledge, then we are those wicked servants, and we will receive only God's wrath.
Perhaps you weren't a person of the Lord your entire life. Perhaps you were awoken by someone, or something one day, and then you decided to give a serious thought about the Bible. Remember this day and work to wake others up. They deserve it no less than you do. Remember the wisdom about the servant, who freed of his debt to the master, but did wickedly towards the other servants, who owed him money, and then got what he deserved... Our knowledge and being awaken is a gift. A gift that we must share as much as possible. That is why we were awoken.
I’ve heard this before and I don’t think it’s right. There is a time and place for everything. “the wicked servant, who had one coin“ is definitely not now. The tribulation period, and we’re in the midst of it, is a time of tremendous deception. Even Paul said in those days God will send “strong delusions”. IMO, God does this by removing all the barriers to that satanic deception. Look what’s happening in the World, especially in Gaza and how many people are cheering when people die or are maimed. Some are even dancing on the graves of children. Do you think that’s normal? I don’t.
I don’t subscribe the view held my most scholars. Most think tribulation lasts seven years, I don’t put a time limit on it. I do agree the 1st part is when great evil will be unleashed on the earth. During the Tribulation the man of sin will have his time to pour out his anger on the inhabitants of the earth who will not bow down and worship him and take his mark. “Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.” – Rev 12:12 I think that’s where we are now, in the middle of that. Most believe God's wrath comes later:
I’m not sure what it means to you to be a “person of the Lord”. I used to go to Church regularly, now I don’t. I used to listen to preachers and pastors of all types of denominations. Now I don’t, if anything I will argue and debate them and, with God’s help, prove them wrong. Because most of the ones I met (and I came across many) are. I wasn’t awaken by anyone, as far as I can recall. It came to me naturally by having a strong desire to have a close relationship with Him. So I decided to give up everything, smoking, drinking, money, sex, drugs (but that wasn’t an issue before). And follow his commandments, all of them. I don’t know why I was awaken, I’m glad you do. However, for me it was very simple, I heard His voice and I decided to follow.
