Is there an alternative source of media or evidence that reveals that Israel is in fact getting beaten?
Seems like just speculation. I know someone else who believes this but he is listening to propaganda such as Scott Ritter who is always on some talk about Israel losing then he's proven wrong again and again.
I've got quite a number of links saved, but just sort of looking at the sites I see a lot of https://www.presstv.ir/ and https://www.tasnimnews.com/en. Right from the horse's mouth. Iranian officials make a ton of bold statements all the time, but the reporting doesn't read like propaganda. Funny juxtaposition. You can browse around there to build up a picture for yourself.
The Western Journal is good but they're Christian Zionists, You'd think they wouldn't even want to repeat something like that but there it is.

Ritter is really knowledgeable and right about a lot of stuff, but also dead wrong on a lot, including this. There's a longer argument to be made, but it looks like the meetings were for Iran and the US to set up for the Iranian counterstrike on Israel. IOW, just the opposite of what everyone thinks.
Finally, you might also try https://militarywatchmagazine.com/. It's from a straight up military perspective, but they cover things that seem to "get left out" before they hit either the mainstream or alternative media. Like Iran shooting down a third F-35 and capturing a second pilot. No one talks about that, right?
