I think you guys are being optimistic.

Our leaders are far to selfish and far to greedy to let everyone, even the slaves have the same quality of life.

Many of us wont qualify for UBI, just like many people wont qualify for proper workers compensation, medical help, etc.

The elite need some more mansions, yachts, planes, etc. They are literally living like kings, god help us if they ever figure out immortality.

You have a point. They'll probably murder a lot of us.
The UBI is about controlling the herd under their thumb, I think.
