Republic is better. Mob rule by lots of uninformed people is inferior. The founding dads knew to make the U.S.A. be a Constitutional Republic.

In the context of making an idol of the market, of objects and of consumption. The idea that the ultimate goal of man is to own more stuff and be more productive. Looking at man solely through an inhuman economical lens (workforce, human resource, material wealth, GDP). Also monopoly capitalism and corporatism leading to tyranny and the erection of a satanic public-private technocracy (Skynet, Tyrell Corp and real entities like BlackRock, East Indian TC, Amazon, Big Tech and Big Pharma).
