Gold/ghel - "to shine" + beam - "ray of light"...

Turned Lead into Gold

a) Light directs beams apart. Turning against each other while being directed...temporarily shines.

To lead implies to direct...

b) Lead aka "least elastic and sonorous" + Gold aka "most ductile and malleable"...if only form (life) within flow (inception towards death) could be shaped from least elastic and sonorous towards most ductile and malleable.
