No, just that's a stupid experiment that proves the earth doesn't have curve, not that it does. I don't think you ever thought about it
So objects being unseeable from the deck but seeable from crows nest proves the earth does NOT have a curve?? That's like saying that looking at a fruit bat debunks the existence of fruit bats.

Not exactly. The experiment is fine, you are just observating laws of optical perspective. The higher elevation increase range of sight. Because distant objects collapse it your horizon.
To understand, the person on deck can use binoculars to see the same thing the guy in the crow's nest can see. So not behind curve. Stupidly easy to grasp but you won't try
