Jesus is the better Jacob. For he received the blessing not through deception but through obedience. And God loved Jesus so much that God said from heaven, "This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased."
The name Jacob literally means "heel-holder," which figuratively means "the deceiver." Indeed, Jacob was a deceiver, deceiving his own father to steal his brother's blessing. But truly, Jesus didn't hold on to another's heels to steal the blessing; instead, another tried to hold on to his heels to steal it from him. HIS OWN BROTHERS, THE JEWS (Matthew 21:38-39). And how did they hold on to his heels? BY CRUCIFYING HIM, BY TAKING THE NAIL AND PIERCING HIS HEELS (John 19:14-15). His own brothers, his own people, his own people tried to steal his blessing, tried to deceive God! But TRULY, OH JEW, GOD IS NOT LIKE ISAAC, GOD IS NOT BLIND LIKE ISAAC, GOD CANNOT BE DECEIVED. And on the third day, he awoke from the dead, and the Jew was sweating, his heart racing, he was afraid. And what did the Jew do? HE TRIED TO DECEIVE AGAIN AND CLAIMED THE DISCIPLES HAD FAKED JESUS' RESURRECTION (Matthew 28:12-15). And they planned, and God planned, and God is the best planner. And God allowed more than 500 people to see the risen Jesus to expose the lie of the Jews (1 Corinthians 15:6).
He, Jesus, is the better Jacob. Not through cunning, but through obedience. That is why he is the better Jacob.
Jesus hates you if you’re not Jewish and has pulled off the single greatest deception - even though he never existed.
