Correct me if I am wrong, but the actual "real ID" that is implemented now was just some bs that required you to bring in govt docs to the DMV again and get a 5 pointed star added to your license. Never heard the justification for why, I assumed it was so that old heads would have to bring in their actual documents again, just to give another chance to verify they weren't forged. This really does sound like fear porn, not that society isn't heading that direction. it's kind of obvious, right or left, that society will be some kind of technocracy. No way around it. Like really. In 100 years, no matter who ends up winning, do you really imagine 100% of people won't be tracked by biometrics?
