I suppose their polls told them this would make them more "likable". It may look weird but to the average normie he may think this is "cute". Everything they do is carefully tested with study groups. Even the sentences and words they choose.

All I see is it reinforces the idea of Elon Musk "taking over the white house" to the masses. This seems designed to look weird to the average normie, and in fact just weird to anyone.
