It was a double edged sword. This sort of thing started with shows like The Jeffersons in the 1970s. The point was to show black family values, even if they were "colorful" and "loud" and "unique", but also to show whites that they were okay to move into your neighborhood, and it was okay to integrate your schools, etc..
How many blacks watched shows like The Jeffersons and Welcome back Kotter via that propaganda lived good lives? Probably tons.
How many cities like Detroit died in the process of integration? Lots.
It's all immeasurable.
By that same token a show with a white family is idolizing white people to the world. I don't see how any of that can be seen as nefarious.
Blacks are part of the American experience, and their media has always had currency. It's interesting. So if there is going to be black media make it reward good role models. Simple as that. Wignats are overthinking it.
Meh. It was jew propaganda, even if some of the shows were kinda fun.
All I'm saying is that there are traide-off in the end.
