a) Mystical power implies conjuring myst/mist within the minds of others aka ignorance.

b) A witch doesn't break free...a witch utilizes free will of choice to tempt others to bind themselves.

c) Being burned (life) at the stake (inception towards death)....implies ones life at stake, hence burn/bærnan (to kindle) + beornan (be on fire).

The process of dying sucks the warmth out of life...simultaneously decay is generating heat.

d) As for witch-burning...WHICH WITCH?
