That’s a great point regarding “make man in our image” - another one which comes to mind reading your comment:
I would just say, asking someone on the street to finish the phrase “Father, Son, and [blank]”, unless you had been trained to finish the sentence with “Holy Spirit”, chances are quite high you would finish the sentence with “Mother”. I don’t think it’s a coincidence but I do think there has been active suppression of any notion of a feminine nature to God, while ironically society and much of religion itself have been feminized
