Capitalism is too broad of a term. Private property and a market of goods and services was is obviously not the problem. The problem is monopoly capitalism where international mega-corporations become more powerful than the state and get to call the shots. Like the East Indian Trading Company, Big Tech or Blackrock/Vanguard.
