The United States, of it's many tools for shaping the Republic, one of such tools is Socialism.
We take the bits that worked, integrate them into capitalism. Then regulate capitalism to not become totalitarian.
However, due to the US citizens ability to memory hole on command, we will continue to pay for a membership to a club that we dont want, that is being forced upon us, while it works to destroy our local and regional economic stability.
Not centrally planned, technocratic, state-run socialisms.
Your hood, community, church, county, co-op, whatever wants to do a socialism, i have no qualms.
White people with barns pay insurance. That’s a socialism. Barn burns down, they pay out (but will argue with you for every penny.)
