It's not that complex to exterminate CEOs and owners of hated corporations. Even for amateurs. So, especially if that shooter was independent from state, state will have to show how they are working. If real shooter was smart enough to not to leave tracks, then state have no any option other that arrest some patsy as scrapegoat. If they would not do that, then elites will feel themselves unprotected and betrayed by state. And it could end with corporate armies, punishment of state bureaucrats and other corporate dystopia things.

May be this was even just first false flag on the road to corporate dictatorship. Watch for elites whining about "state can't protect important people who drive country economy", "corporations have right to defend themselves" and other stuff.
