The problem with crypto, which gold doesn't have, is that it depends on government to exist. If you lose internet, power, or simply can't access a computer, it's worth nothing at all.

Its a hedge against the more likely scenario where a local government/BLM can arrest or confiscate your house rather than every country in the world losing internet. For americans, gold is probably better. For Venezuelans, buttcoin is better.
