I don't know about Baltic Chihuahuas, are they similar to Mexican Chihuahuas?

They are smaller. :) Really I just mean they become very small in all important measurements, along with being very loud in pro-West political statements.

I was unaware that the ex-USSR republics that turned to the West prospered.

Baltic states was kind of storefront of USSR, including for propaganda purposes and USSR spent a lot to make them not only look good, but also to develop them industrially. This success in USSR make them think that they will easily rise to the level of most advanced countries with Western help. But things suddenly went completely other way.

I didn't realize Ukraine was a Space powerhouse, but before Fake X, wasn't the United States contracting Russia to lift their satellites into L.E.O.?

Many parts of USSR space ships was made in Ukrainian SSR. Kharkov, Krivoy Rog, Dnepropetrovsk had very advanced factories making hull parts, electronics, maneuring engines and other stuff for spaceships. Also, Ukrainian SSR had Antonov design bureau and all apropriate aero industry in form of Antonov enterprise. USSR athorities moved all that enterprise from Novosibirsk to Kiev around 1950s. Heaviest plane in the world, An-225 was built in late 80s by that corporation for USSR Buran space shuttle program. All that stuff was eventually sold out and destroyed after 1991. In 2000s Antonov still produced few small planes a year and some spare parts for existing planes, but in 2016 all manufacturing was finally stopped and Antonov began to sell out its buildings and workshops. In 2017 Antonov enterprise was officially liquidated by its owner - Ukrainian government.

Despite all the bullying tactics of the US, by their immoral "sanctions",

Looks like that "sanctions" are the best thing that could ever happen to Russia. It was like kick in the ass that forced us (including our business and government) to begin to budge and come off that deadly needle of selling resources for green paper. Instead of harm, they kickstart ressurection of industry and tech here.

Of course there was areas like space, nuclear power and military that didn't degraded much, but many other industries was nearly destroyed in 90s.

Russia continues to prosper.

I would not name it prosperity, especially taking in account how it could be without all that mess with bureaucracy, incompetence and constant attempts to play nice with West, but things are not as bad as they once was. At least that insanity about "why should we care about manufacturing this and that, if we could easily buy it with euros for oil export" finally thrown into the trash. But still we sell a lot of raw materials instead of at least first-stage processing them here and selling processed product like we do with steel, titanium and other stuff. Some areas of manufacturing are still in ruins, like semiconductors and polymers. There are plans to ressurect them, but again - bureaucracy, incompetence and all that traditional Russian stuff.

Russia seemed to be prepared this time, learning from 2014.

Kind of. It was obvious where it comes at the time, and there talks began, but as is tradition nobody actually did anything serious until 2022 thuderstrike. :) Except, may be, military connected industry.

Russian people have a great sense of humor, and because of their struggles, most have a very good perspective on life.

Well, that 90s mess with all possible shit truly make people more resistant. Actually people here are not very different from westerners, but background is different.

It is really complex matter, but long story short - millenia of existence created very specific phenomena where Russia change people, even those in charge, not people change Russia. :) It is far from optimal, and there are huge side-effects, but in the long run it gives benefits.

Where other's may become stressed over a situation, it's the Russian that says "so what?", and moves forward.

Foreigners who moved here eventually acquire that ability too. :) Even Snowden who didn't even want to stay here, eventually got wife and they already made two children. :)
