Katrina was just an ordinary hurricane that blows through the region every few years. So predictable that we call them hurricane "seasons" during which locals predict lots of rainfall, flooding issues, humidity, etc. Just because a bunch of niggers chose to live in section 8 housing below sea level in what was previously a swamp and then get drowned or try to flag down helicopters does not bother me or make it some kind of grand conspiracy.

One example was that they were going around from house-to-house confiscating guns.
Another, as alluded to in the OP, is that they were shooting at people who were trying to get food.

fema was cutting people (indiscriminately) off from basics like water and medical, the stuff that we are FORCED to pay them to provide in the wake of disasters. books were written about the situation. it’s never been dealt with legally or otherwise.

I'm not trying to start an argument. More of what i remember about Katrina is that it was sensationalized by the media, Kanye West and democrat media tried to frame George W. Bush and use it to race bait, and it seemed to get FEMA more power and funding which sucks.
As far as a response, I prefer the government stay the fuck out of weather events and stop trying to play hero everytime a named storm is coming. Just fuck off. People who live in these regions are familiar with this. Government closing down roads, implementing some extremely expensive emergency response just so government employees can get double pay and millions of dollars in paid overtime to sleep in their vehicles or sleep at an emergency operations center which itself costs many more millions is all a giant grift and waste that feeds off people's ignorant fear of rain storms and wind. Sometimes the governments tries to force you out of your own home in mandatory evacuation. It's all gay.
A large topic that should be discussed is how the Constitution does not grant the Government these bogus emergency powers. Did you know that Trump's Covid Pandemic Response utilized illegal Emergency powers? And we have no idea when or where these emergency powers begin or end. Who gave government this power and authority to suspend civil rights because of some bogus emergency? Trump should be arrested for illegal powers presumed under the guise of a fraudulent scamdemic. FEMA is illegal.
