Look, some time ago here was a few posts about "disappearing internet". When content is just disappear due to technical or other reasons, intentionally or unintentionally.
When you talk about personal accounts, try to look wider than usual egocentric approach. Does that "personal accounts" bullshit worth loosing even 0.001% of gold that exist even in such garbage bin as Gab?
Of course, there is a problem of separating gold from shit, but you never know what will become gold eventually.
Real example - on one forum (car fans), someone shared a blueprint of replacement part. This was posted on some image sharing shitty service, so eventually it is of course disappeared. Nobody really cared, because there was possible to find NOS or used ones, so there was no need to manufacture this part by yourself. More than decade pass and part become completly NLA, all NOS and decent used ones was bought out and weared ones had wrong dimentions to replicate. People began to search original blueprint, but it was lost long ago, since this shitty image hosting bankrupted and disappeared. And the gold was found in one old post in different thread, where someone shared a link to a file on personal server with archive of nearly all drawings, blueprints, schematics and other useful scrapped stuff archived. That was gold under tons of shit. And if not this scrapper this valuable (for some people) information would had been lost forever.
Same with everything else. Ability to have an unrestricted access to the information people ever willingly posted to share with somebody is very important. Limiting this ability for whatever reason is an attempt to prevent further development of humanity sum of knowledge.
Latest mutilation of Twitter, that made search and scrapping impossible is a good example. Earlier you could easily check some posts and coincidences for specified time using simple script to scrap data for specific keyword or whatever. And possible found something interesting, like results or causes of some past event that become known only today. Now you just can't do that.
So, standing with those who rant against scraping and free access to information, makes you one who stand against ability of anyone to find the truth.
If you prefer that transcendental awakened approach - any limiting of access to information is an attempt to damage Akashic records or noosphere, meddling with natural process of information flow. Person who came up with idea to share something with others is a God-like particle feeding that Akasic/noosphere field. Any attempt to contain or limit this radiation in time or space dimention is a crime against Universe.
If the site is available to webscraping, there's no point in a warrant. There's no protection in refusing to comply.
Is that why everybody here use archive.org webscrapper to share links to information that would have been lost without webscrapping?
Bypassing paywalls isn't a gotcha when the discussion is personal accounts.

Personal account not being equivalent to right to privacy to someone here is very odd to me.
