Personally, if I find something interesting and/or something that took a bit of digging to look up, I make a post about it. I also retweet/like a lot of information that I would like to go back and reference some day. The fact that this will now be gone is a big deal.
At the same time, there is no social media site that is doing this, and very few people would put up with this. In fact, everyone will call it what it is - a money grabbing scheme.
