How is an admission of guilt a "huge step forward" when there is no indication of any consequences or changes in behavior? Maybe I'm being too cynical but this all seems to be this coordinated change in tactics by the higher level technocrats to seem like they are on the side of freedom (ie the musk jones trump kennedy and now zuckerberg? alliance) when really they are just playing the roles of the "antiestablishment" party still within the typical hegelian dialectic for the two party control system. Because there is so much widespread dissatisfaction and disillusionment they have to change tactics and give up small amounts of ground in the war for control but ultimately its designed to continue to keep people invested in the system mentally. Its all to distract from the truth which is that authority is an illusion. It is necessary to maintain that illusion so that we as a population continue to tacitly give our power to the system of control.

It's like saying

Killer's confession is huge step forward in fighting murder

They try to turn inaction into victories.

Actually, in the example I used, it's presumed the killer would go to prison, whereas none of these commies have never even been brought forth towards a judge.

In the interview, Shellenberger says he is hopeful of change as a result.
