Work a day of security on a crew that does the same shit over and over and over again for months -- and gaps emerge.
I would argue that doing it routinely makes people better at finding and closing gaps.
And you argue that this kid just found that one perfect place where > 99% of people would have assumed is completely secure because it's just too obvious. That rooftop should have been impossible by an stretch of the imagination.
...you don't just shoot a kid climbing on a roof to "see better".
You can't be real! I would 100% expect to be shot doing that, and not one single solitary person would have it in their mind that someone would do that, and it certainly was not the reason he was able to do it. No one responsible has come forward to say that any of that had any influence on their actions whatsoever.
There is a reason that post positions rotate bcz complacency leads to mistakes. You are giving perspective at a governing authority, not the guard. More of the same is a human flaw no matter the training. And this is no different with any branch or tier of security.
Until you experience having a ROE, fuck off with your complaints.
I'm sorry, I thought you were talking about return on equity (ROE).
Anyway, the main point I was trying to make is that you are one of the chorus carrying water for them to make what happened sound reasonable. You literally said they just don't shoot people climbing onto vantage points and that's why it happened.
