Trump's unwavering support for the vaccine is definitely one of his biggest follies, just like his unwavering support for Israel. He's triple vaxxed.
However he has stated several times that he didn't support a vaccine mandate.

I don't care as much that he supported the creation of the vaccine, as long as he didn't make everyone take one.
Unfortunately, I don't see a viable alternative this time around.

The president does as the people will him to. That's his job. And what did the people wish for him to do?
Some people definitely supported the mandates, but I don't think it was a majority.
