How should I know. It is an experiment, so I think it is done to gain more information on the subject.
It is not nanotechnology, it is microtechnology, a 1000 times bigger than nanotechnology. Also if micro robotics was introduced to an actual person, our immune system would kill it fairly fast.
If you do not want to elaborate further, then that serves as proof to me that nanotechnology and the transhumanist agenda is nothing more than science fiction.
