I ran a TV camera back in the 70s.
You had to manually "set the white" from a white card lit where you would be shooting. That setting would be the same until you set it again. The biggest difference is indoor lighting (orange-ish) vs outdoor lighting (blueish). Your eye automatically adjusts so you don't really notice it yourself
Modern stuff uses an algorithm to "guess" what white is on the fly.
I can see where a "auto" setting could flip in the middle of a shot.
Still nothing to do with the video. Come on, do better.
