The government admits that a dust mask does not protect you from inhaling smoke molecules which are 200 times larger than a covid molecule. If it doesn't filter out smoke it definitely does not filter out even smaller molecules.

Flu is not diagnosed, so cases are estimated from other pathologies - pnumeonia etc.
