They do because Israel is voluntarily part of the UN. By joining the UN Israel gave them influence in Israeli affairs of state

any agreement a nation makes with the UN is voluntary and can be exited at will, because the UN has no rights over sovereign territory.

and yes Israel does belong to Israel. it is their territory. throughout all of history the legitimate rulers of any territory have always been those who have the military force to control it.

That is Israel...a nation that exists in reality. Not "Palestine", a nation that has only ever existed in rhetoric.
