There are many reasons why the brutality of the invasion is being shoved in people's faces, but the most conspiratorial is that it is intended to inflame the Iranian population to exert political pressure upon their leaders into taking unwise actions against Israel.
i am of the opinion that the point of the exercise is normalization.
It is to provoke Iran into attacking which would in turn lead to the ruination of Iran and an end to their nuclear program.
