Capitalism ≠ Ethics
Capitalism is an economic system. Maybe it implies some ethics but it still needs a more pronounced ideology to supplement it as a worldview. Like socialism (China) or liberal democracy (the West). Both of those are in reality a technocratic rule by a financial and corporate elite but I'm talking about how the government presents itself to the public.
Capitalism and modern technology are fruit of the same consumerist society tree we call the "first world" Capitalism takes humanity and ethical considerations out of the equation. The bottom line is profit. Fuck the world, let's make money! To The detriment of future generations and the earth itself.
And yet the virtue signaling, appeals to both personal liberty and conformist collectivism and feminized appeal to emotion propaganda have never been stronger. Everything is treated like a product to be consoomed. The reason our technocratic overlords prefer such a society is because it's easier to be controlled, remodeled and enslaved. They are fully pragmatic in their believes and only support the ideas that are useful to their agenda.
