Something I discovered a few years ago, and I've mentioned it here in a comment once or twice in the past, is one of the tools they have implemented on mainstream media outlets to further manipulate minds: the news ticker. Every mainstream media outlet has one.
I hardly watch TV, but when I do, it's never for anything other than some sort of news. I was trying to read the ticker and listen to the anchor speaking at the same time. I get annoyed pretty quickly in that scenario, and this time, an idea came to me.
Long story short, after searching about the news ticker, I ended up on Wikipedia, reading about the history of the ticker.

"While news tickers had been used occasionally by other networks over the years, the news ticker became a ubiquitous part of television news following the September 11 attacks in 2001. Needing a way to provide a continuous stream of vital but repetitive emergency information to viewers, Fox News Channel placed a ticker on-screen at 10:49 am Eastern Time. So, basically, they bombard us with news stories constantly. All sensationalized. 24/7. Information overload. This spreads people's mental resources thin, which makes them more susceptible to accepting obvious bullshit as legitimate.

I was watching a podcast with a SERE military guy (search, evade, resist, escape), people who specialize in survival scenarios, and he said the teaching courses utilize trauma based teaching techniques (making the students suffer), because they've found that people retain information better when they're under stress. I'm sure they "learned" this technique from totally innocent happenstance, and totally not from MKUltra, and that the people in power totally don't use it against the populace.
Weird you say ‘search’……when you look it up like I did, come to find out they’ve ‘always’ called it ‘survive’……which is bullshit. It was Search Evasion, Resistance, and Escape. When a plane is shot down they send people out looking for the pilot. You wanted to evade their search. Then, if you were captured, it focused on resisting torture techniques, and escaping captivity. I don’t know if it’s a Mandela effect or not, but you’re the only person other than me that remembers or knows it as ‘search’
