Pretty wild that the world is now so thoroughly ruled by liars, that it becomes safer and more accurate to believe the exact opposite of what they say, regardless of subject.
Imho It's because everyone believes they're good liars likely because they only interact with idiots so when they lie to the public at large they have absolutely no fear in blatantly lying
