Statements can be true independent of motivations. If I say all women should be armed would it hypothetically matter if I were a good Samaritan or if I owned a gun store? If I'm not trying to enrich myself or influence someone to my own benefit what would my motivation matter? That's a major issue I have with people calling for example Tucker Carlson a deep state stooge, if what he's saying is in my opinion the truth what does it matter who signs his paychecks?
Journalism is reporting what you can prove not what you believe or know to be true. Knowing more than what you are saying is standard operating procedure for intelligent people.
"Those who know do not speak. Those who speak do not know."

The issue with Tucker is that he knows a lot more than he is reporting. A limited hangout. Kind of like Alex Jones.
