That does not equate to a military draft, I'd say that's the antithesis of a draft. People who are scared do stupid things they don't run into wars.
That's a nonsensical statement, I am a member of the "public" I did not do what the TV said. I think you are just viewing people in a negative light.
I consider it wildly naive and stupid to assume a bunch of lemmings would voluntarily go into a meat grinder. Wars are not won with cannon fodder, McNamaras Morons demonstrated that thoroughly.
