No, prolly not. I dont think anyone, at least officially, has said otherwise.
I believe the excuse that they are expecting alot of people to drive to see this event. I know if I had money, Id drive a few hours to be in the totality.
Once or twice in a life time event.
If it draws the crowds they are expecting, traffic and phones will likely go down. Which I admit is strange, how everything is just barely functioning apparently as it is.
But I admit, alot of things happening, and seeing alot of articles about how the animals might lose their shit, the traffic problems, the phone problems, nasa sending up rockets to analyze how the eclipse effects the atmosphere.
Feels like they are hyping it up for some reason.
