Putin does not need any additional support by Russian citizens. He just totally win elections, first time ever gained more than 50% of all registered voters. And this time even sceptics agree that the result looks more or less believable.
Crocus shooting make things for Putin much worse. He always tried to play soft with Western elites and even their puppets.
