What is this "Christ Consciousness"? I've been hearing conservative grifters talk about that in the past few years, seems like a poison pill to slip in to actual Christianity

It is an elevated way of thinking and living that transcends beyond the fear of the materialistic world. It is the consciousness that pervades the universe and is exemplified by the life of Jesus and all other enlightened beings of the ages, such as Buddha, Krishna, Moses, Muhammad, Gandhi, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., and even Mr. Fred Rogers. Christ consciousness has been known by various names in history, such as Jainism, Buddhism, Hinduism, and most Eastern mystical religions. Jesus achieved this higher state of being in his human life and was given the term "Christ" in recognition of his achievement in spiritual status."

You can cherry pick scripture to say almost anything. Jesus said no one comes to the Father except through Him, that does not imply there's some kind of consciousness to be achieved that others had achieved before Him
