Jesus, and they always accuse the ancients of being superstitious about eclipses.
But I guess, yeah, if a dragon really is going to eat the Sun, then every dipshit is going to have to tweet about and will clog up the cell towers.
Perfect example of how even smart people say stupid shit because they read too much into things. Top comment has the reason why. Best part is it existed an hour before you made yours. You'll have mass amounts of people from all over the drivable distance in the country trying to catch this natural phenomenon along a small strip of land going across the united states. The 'perfect' places are not all going to be in a publicly accessible pieces of land so these people will all be congregated in those that are. If you've ever lived through a hurricane you'd know it's smart to stock up before the shit gets here because gas stations will be empty. Shelves will be empty. Step it up monkey98.
In your analysis, an eclipse is to be likened to a hurricane? If that degree of insight is to be considered "stepping it up", I'll take a hard pass on it.
Maybe you should have backed up your "insight" with articles on the devastation caused by past eclipses.
The dude was clearly comparing people's reactions to those events, not the events themselves.
If you feel the compulsion to clarify, then by definition it was not clear at all, was it?
