The MP is definitely a contentious topic, but large projects can certainly be contained/compartmentalized internally.
But it’s not a secret. We know about the MP. We started knowing about it pretty quickly.
We know about it now, but how long was the program in active development before it became public knowledge?
I’m talking more about internal knowledge of the program while in development. I know entire research teams were separated and didn’t know anything about other team’s research under the program.
It was pretty heavily thrust into the spotlight and faced public scrutiny pretty quickly after the bombs dropped.
